A popular program with the seniors take place in the spring when an intergenerational day is planned with the local school children where the seniors enjoy lunch with the students while talking about their childhood in the “Olden Days”.

Our “Senior Member Picnic” is held every year in June on the Monastery Grounds.  Music and Entertainment are provided together with a wonderful meal.

Cumberland “Monastery” Arts and Crafts Festival is held every spring, call the Center for details.

TRIPS
One of the most popular offerings of the senior center are its “day” and “long term” trips offered to various locales.  Places visited in the past include Indian Head, New Hampshire, Foxwoods Casino, Mohegan Sun Casino, Cape Cod, Newport, Atlantic City, Bar Harbor, Maine as well as spectacular cruises through the Panama Canal, Bermuda and to the Caribbean.  All trips are posted by Pat Bateman on the Bulletin Board so that you can sign up during any visit to the Center.  Of course, space is limited on all of the trips and seats go on a “first come, first served” basis.
