OCYL works to create highly authentic experiences for students that help them reach their full potential. Creating intentional, thoughtful collaborations and funded partnerships is the key to fostering high quality educational opportunities for Cumberland children.

  • Teachers and administrators from local schools are welcome to create and implement programming with us.
  • Professionals in the STEAM/STEM fields are welcome to work with our STEAM shop Coordinator to bring student centered learning opportunities to students in out of school time. Our goal is to empower students to use their creativity and natural curiosity- bring yours to them!
  • Experts in finance, human resources and other fields that can help teens apply for a job, open a bank account, manage money, go from “Backpack to Briefcase” are encouraged to work with OCYL to teach local teens.
  • Leaders in the community are encouraged to submit RFP’s: Requests for Proposals for the Cumberland Leadership Academy, our six week summer camp for middle school youth in which the students choose local service learning projects. Prospective partners are welcome to “pitch” a program idea or to get involved with current programming. Please submit a proposal or letter of interest, resume, references and certifications to the Director, Liz Lemire
