Early Voting

In the 20 days leading up to Election Day, you can vote in person at your city or town hall or at a designated location during regular business hours. Cumberland is offering early voting at Cumberland Town Hall (45 Broad Street) on the second floor in the Town Council Chambers. Voting is available from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. 

Register to Vote

To register to vote you must a legal resident of Rhode Island, a citizen of the United States and at least 16 years of age. You must be at least 18 years of age to vote on Election Day.

If you are registering to vote for the first time in Rhode Island by mail or if someone else turns this form in for you, it is required that you provide your driver’s license number or state ID number issued by the Rhode Island Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). If you do not have either, you must provide the last 4 digits of your Social Security.
