The Highway Department services the Town's streets, highways, sidewalks, bridges, watercourses, and storm drains. This department also performs construction, maintenance, and repair operations associated with the grounds for our public buildings, and for all parks and recreational facilities. It maintains over 200 miles of roads within town, including street sweeping, snow plowing, tree trimming, brush cutting, catch basin cleaning, and other tasks that require heavy and light highway maintenance or construction equipment. The department also maintains all Town vehicles and manages the community recycling waste drop-off containers and operations at the Pascale Facility.
